What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit? Family, grandkids, travel, golf
What is the best advice you’ve ever been given? From my dad, whatever you do in life do it to your fullest potential, anything less than that is a waste of your time and probably someone else‘s
How long have you been doing CrossFit? How long at Wayfarer? About 10 years, first 8 years at RAW and the last two at Wayfarer
What is the biggest accomplishment you’ve achieved since you started doing CrossFit? Probably making the AGOQ two years in a row, or maybe not getting thrown out of the gym for sweating so much
Why did you start doing CrossFit and what made you choose Wayfarer CrossFit? I started CrossFit when there were maybe 3 or 4 in the Pittsburgh area, I was using it to help train for OCR races (Spartan), I started at Wayfarer because Matt told me how great Nate and the entire staff were, in addition to the athletes who trained there, he was right
Favorite WOD/movement? Although I’m not very good at them, I love burpees, throw in some rowing, wallballs, and DU’s and it’s a real party!
Least favorite WOD/movement? Burpees, yes it’s a love hate relationship
What is your favorite music to listen to during a workout? Classic rock
What is the one cheat meal you won’t give up no matter what? Pepperoni Pizza
What is your worst gym habit? Sweating, although I think I get a bad rap from the 430 class, some members tend to drift into my work space and sweat up the floor, and then leave , you know who you are
What would you recommend to someone that is just starting CrossFit or is too afraid to try it? Just show up, scale if you need to, there’s no judgement here at Wayfarer
How does it feel to be named Member of the Month? Very honored, thank you, every athlete here could be Member of the Month, I am truly amazed at the resolve of people who do CrossFit
What the (Blank)?
My typical post workout meal is usually something somewhat healthy for dinner, plus a few graham crackers.
I can’t go to the gym without sweatbands, knee sleeves, and a towel.
CrossFit is a great way for me to spend an hour day with Matt!!
