We recently sat down with Lori to ask her a few questions so you can get to know her better. Her answers are in bold.

Q&A

What is your occupation? Executive Operating Officer of The House

What class time do you normally attend? 8am and 545pm, sometimes 645am or 315pm

What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit? Is that a thing?? Anything sporty

What is the best advice you’ve been given? In the gym: focus on the circle around your own two feet
In the world: Be kind. You never know another persons struggles.

How long have you been doing CrossFit? How long at Wayfarer? I started doing CrossFit 13 years ago! At Wayfarer since October 2022.

What is the biggest accomplishment since you started doing CrossFit? Having my family join me

Why did you choose to start doing CrossFit and what made you choose Wayfarer? I’ve always loved competitive sports. I was the son my father never had. Mostly there’s no better feeling than a good adrenaline dump after a good workout. I chose Wayfarer because I saw some posts of friends there.

Favorite WOD/movement? deadlifts and power cleans

Least favorite WOD/movement? Any body weight movement like squats pull-up or push-ups

What is your favorite music to listen to during a workout? Any as long as it is loud!

What is the one cheat meal you won’t give up no matter what? Chips and Salsa

What is your worst gym habit? Not stretching after a workout

What would you recommend to someone that is just starting CrossFit or is too afraid to try it? The hardest part is just getting there. Some days are better than others. Somedays you may have to walk instead of run. Somedays you have to use a PVC pipe . Any workout beats just seating on the couch!

How does it feel to be named MoTM? I’m honored.

CrossFit is a huge part of my life. I have soo many good memories and made some of best friends from CrossFit. I love the fact that my family is also on board with the fact that physical fitness is the best medicine! ❤️
