We recently sat down with Nick to ask him a few questions so you can get to know him better. His answers are in bold.

What is your occupation? College student/part time at Maverick Dental
What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit? Camping, hiking, traveling, golfing
What is the best advice you’ve ever been given? “If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed.” – Admiral William H. McRaven, U.S. Navy
How long have you been doing CrossFit? How long at Wayfarer? A year and a half, all at Wayfarer.
What is the biggest accomplishment you’ve achieved since you started doing CrossFit? PR’ing my Clean and Jerk
Why did you start doing CrossFit and what made you choose Wayfarer CrossFit? I wanted to do something more challenging and get out of the commercial gym environment and I am always looking for a challenge. Wayfarer was recommended to me by a family member.
Favorite WOD/movement? Donny/Clean and Jerk
Least favorite WOD/movement? Fran/handstand walks
What is your favorite music to listen to during a workout? Rap/rock
What is the one cheat meal you won’t give up no matter what? Honey hot chicken sandwich and truffle fries from the FirePit.
What is your worst gym habit? Going to the bathroom at the last minute before the WOD starts.
What would you recommend to someone that is just starting CrossFit or is too afraid to try it? Keep showing up and trust the process, everyday is a challenge but you won’t know until you try and go all in.
How does it feel to be named Member of the Month? Honestly is such an amazing feeling and honor because we have some many great people in our Wayfarer community that work so hard everyday.
What the (Blank)?
My typical post workout meal is a protein shake, 4-5 eggs, 2 rice cakes with peanut butter, and my BPN supplement stack.
I can’t go to the gym without chalk.
