Q&A

What is your occupation? Sales Account Manager

What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit?  Poker

What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?  Never be content, always push to be better at everything you do.

How long have you been doing CrossFit? How long at Wayfarer? 5 years

What is the biggest accomplishment you’ve achieved since you started doing CrossFit?  At 55 going on 56, I am in the best shape of my life and lowest body weight since I was 30 years old.

What made you choose Wayfarer CrossFit?  I had lunch with Jay Marturano in October of 2014 and could see a big difference in his appearance. Until then, I never really would put Jay in the physically in shape category. Bonnie yes, but Jay? So he told me about Nate and Wayfarer. After lunch I went over and met with Nate and signed up.

Favorite WOD/movement? Cleans

Least favorite WOD/movement? Burpees

What is your favorite music to listen to during a workout? Rocky music

What is the one cheat meal you won’t give up no matter what? Pizza & chocolate chip cookies (preach Jim, preach)

What is your worst gym habit? Lack of mental focus on the WOD. Always have to check and recheck the board.

What would you recommend to someone that is just starting CrossFit or is too afraid to try it?  If I can do it, anyone can. Seriously! Check your ego at the door. Just have to modify the workouts to what works best for you. Don’t worry about keeping up with others, just get a great workout.

How does it feel to be named Member of the Month? It’s an honor. Mostly, really great to be associated with all in the Wayfarer community. What an awesome group of people.

What the (Blank)?

My typical post workout meal is eggs.
I can’t go to the gym without my glasses.
CrossFit is life changing! Physically and mentally.
